"Colour of Life" Sculptures.
This project consists of five sculptures designed by Colin Spofforth in clay and then recreated by Magnel in GRP.
They are the first installment of a big open-air display located along a treed avenue in the University Quarter of Central Manchester near to the Hilton Hotel.
(Vince Angell MD, Matt Bogart fabricator and David Harper Production) The Sculptures are approximately 4 metres high and are due to be mounted on a series of 5 metres high plinths mid September 2010.
Magnel Ltd won a three-way competition for the contract to create reinforced fibreglass copies from the originals, beating off bids from London and another city.
