Project: To create a front fascia and domes to the top of a new sikh temple

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

We produced all patterns and moulds for this temple from basic drawings. The 6 meter diameter main dome was constructed in 12 sections, matched and drilled for site assembly. Around the lower part of the dome was an elaborate leaf pattern embossed and incorporated into each section. 12 small domes were made at 1/6th scale of the main dome. At the front of the building, Magnel produced 9m high sectionalised facade with columns, arched window recesses and a projecting balcony at the base. The colour and textured finish had to closely match original materials, limewash for the domes and indian sandstone.

Project: To create a cross for the front elevation of new church.

Location: Kinmel Bay Evangelical Church, North Wales 

We were given full artistic license with this project. The only specifications were the colour and approximate dimensions of the cross leaving the team to design and install it on completion!
